Jennifer Parsons has been in the Alternative Health Care field since 2008. She started her career in Massage Therapy specializing in Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, and Hydrotherapy.
She started her Chinese medical training in 2010 in Sarasota, Florida at East West College of Natural Medicine where she received training in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. She earned a Master's in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor's in Professional Health Sciences. During her studies she traveled to Hang Zhou, China to complete the advanced studies program at Zhe Jiang Chinese Medical University.
In The Beginning
Jennifer Parsons, LAc, LMT is a licensed acupuncturist and a specialist in the treatment of pain, injury, and stress. She uses acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and many types of manual therapy to safely and effectively get her patients out of pain and back to health. She also strongly believes in integrative medicine and works closely with a select group of MDs, Chiropractors, and other specialist to comprehensively treat and eliminate pain and dysfunction after injury. Her special interest in using acupuncture as a first-line treatment to prevent surgery, or if surgery is necessary, to reduce pain and speed rehabilitation post-operatively.
I hope to bring new (and ancient) treatments and alternatives to the people in my life who need it the most. I've spent years practicing what I have learned so far about treating pain and coping with stress. I have done extensive research on many types of treatments that have been tested and proven over and over again across many different health care fields of practice. To develop a community education Center and provide clients with knowledge that will help them not only maintain balance to restore health and healing but also to help them live longer, healthier lives. I will maintain cutting edge training in my industry and continually improve the excellence of my techniques and products through continuing education classes, involvement in associations and through communications with clients and peers.
